How to judge the reliability and security of online jobs?

I am planning to do an online job. I don’t know how to trust a website. Please help me.

First I would make sure you have the location/address of the company. Is it private/public? Who owns them? Do they have a parent company? You can go to the BBB and see if they are listed there. In my experience with work at home jobs, many are private companies but if they are public then they will have filed with the SEC and have reports in Edgar. You may also want to go to wahm.com and ask at the message board. There are many wise people there who probably know about the company.

Another thing to remember is to never pay to get a job. Legitimate companies will not ask for a fee of any kind to work for them, nor do they advertise their jobs on banners or spam emails.
